Retreat at Karma Yiwong Samten Ling

The Bush Setting

Karma Yiwong Samten Ling is a new meditation retreat centre set on a beautiful bush block in the Central West of NSW on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri Nation. The Centre is set on a rocky hill with White Cypress Pines and a wide range of Eucalyptus trees. The land has never been farmed and is pristine.

We share our Centre with a wide array of birds and wildlife including wallabies, wallaroos, kangaroos, echidnas, goannas, blue tongue lizards, brown and red-bellied black snakes, cockatoos, superb parrots, galahs, choughs and many others.

What you need to know

Facilities at the Centre are relatively basic with shared dormitory accommodation, rainwater tanks, and communal kitchen facilities.

In terms of accommodation, the Centre currently suits meditation practitioners who are happy to commit to their practice on retreat with all the basics provided and who don't mind being close to the elements and sharing in communal facilities.

All meals are vegetarian only.

We are currently planning to install more self contained retreat cabins to expand the range of accommodation options.

If you would like to attend retreats and teachings, but would prefer to stay offsite you can explore options in nearby towns including Orange, Cudal, Molong, Manildra and Canowindra.
